The current RK Konjuh was formed on February 25, 1972. RK Konjuh competed in the Republic League, and for two seasons was a member of the Second League (East) of the former joint state. Thanks to the large number of sports enthusiasts, who worked with the youngest categories, the Club always had a sufficient number of quality handball players, born in its own ranks. In recent years, especially with the construction of the City Hall in Živinice in 2005, RK Konjuh has been achieving better and better results, so that today it is one of the leading clubs in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the 2007/08 season, Konjuh won two runner-up titles: he played in the final of the BiH Cup, and he also won second place in the Premier League of BiH. Konjuh played in the Chalange Cup for two seasons in a row, and in the 2006/07 season. reached the quarter-finals of this major European club competition.
